Folio has transformed our culture into one of camaraderie, collaboration, peer encouragement, and professional development. The daunting nature of an onboarding process was mitigated by our relationship with our Folio representative, Melissa Fast, who walked us through each step. From the technical aspects of the platform to the philosophy of the program, and from the setting up of a goal-setting culture to the customization of professional development trainings, we were guided by the hand through it all. The result is a transformation from an unsustainable and top-down approach, to a collaborative and encouraging culture that stimulates the desire to get better as teachers, and to fulfill our mission, namely to educate and prepare each generation of students for the rigors and complexity of the world they are entering. A program that began as a pilot project has become a part of the internal functioning of our school, and one that we hope continues forever.
