Our Advisory Board connects our leadership with visionary educators and school leaders. The board acts as a strategic partner, offering valuable feedback, insights, and guidance to help Folio Collaborative support independent schools on their professional growth journeys.
The board’s feedback, along with input from our members, informs regular platform improvements and annual major updates. By fostering a collaborative, teacher-first approach to product development, we ensure our solutions are designed to help teachers feel seen, heard, and valued.
Bob Bryan
Associate Head of School
Viewpoint School
Robert (Bob) Bryan is a career independent school teacher and leader. Except for the time he attended graduate school followed by a year of teaching English and American Culture in Sichuan, PRC, he has served six independent schools in a variety of capacities.
As a leader, Bob has been a department chair, division head, director of studies, and assistant/associate head, and brings a wide-angle perspective to the business of school leadership.
Currently, Bob serves as Viewpoint School’s Associate Head of School and also serves as a member of Lake Tahoe School’s Board of Trustees. He earned his BA in Comparative Religion from SMU, and his MA in Modern Chinese History from UW-Madison. Bob and his wife Joyce live in Woodland Hills, California, not far away from their son Benjamin who also resides in the LA area.

McDonogh School
I’m Director of LifeReady at McDonogh School, a PK-12 independent school near Baltimore, and head a team of strategic leaders providing research, strategy, and professional development supporting pedagogy and learning.
Since joining McDonogh School in 2005, I have served as a college counselor, as the Director of Fine & Performing Arts, and as a classroom teacher. An architect of McDonogh’s academic strategic plan, LifeReady, I advise on ways for schools to approach meaningful change while honoring the experience, commitment, and contributions of faculty.
Outside of school, I am a practicing Catholic and coordinate a mental health ministry at Sts. Philip and James in Baltimore. I live with my wife, Kate, and my son, Ethan, in Owings Mills, MD.
Andrea Crossman
Lower School Educational Technologist & Registrar
St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Austin
Andrea Crossman is the Lower School Educational Technologist and Registrar at St. Andrew’s School in Austin, Texas. She brings a strong background in STEM teaching in public schools and has also worked as a curriculum consultant for edtech startups and nonprofits. She is passionate about supporting teachers and helping schools use technology in intentional ways.
Originally from Seattle, Andrea has called Austin home for the past 8 years. Outside of work she enjoys biking, swimming and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two dogs, Toby and Joon.

I began my teaching career through Teach for America in Brooklyn, NY, where I trained as an intervention specialist and worked in bilingual and inclusion settings. After moving home to Ohio, I have worked in public charter and independent schools, teaching humanities courses in every grade level from 5th to 12th.
For the past decade I have taught and led as Dean of Faculty at Hathaway Brown, where I coordinate professional learning, evaluation and coaching, hiring, and leadership development on our PK-12 campus.
Sarah Mansfield
Assistant Head of School
St. Christopher’s School
In 2012, Sarah Mansfield joined St. Christopher’s as Assistant Head of School. She works with cross-divisional groups of administrators, faculty and staff members on curricular initiatives, professional development, talent management, and all-school programming. Sarah was named a 2019 TED-Ed Innovative Educator and attended the TED Summit in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she also delivered a TED Talk.
Before joining St. Christopher’s, Sarah served as founding director of Chesterfield County’s Center for Leadership and International Relations, taught English at New Kent, Monacan and James River high schools, and created James River’s Teachers for Tomorrow Program.
Sarah earned her bachelor’s in English, her master’s in teaching, and her doctorate in educational leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Claire McCarrick
Dean of Faculty
Fordham Preparatory School
Claire McCarrick brings 19 years of experience as an educator dedicated to fostering growth and excellence in teaching and learning. She began her career as a full-time math teacher and transitioned to her current role as Dean of Faculty at Fordham Preparatory School in 2022.
In her role, Claire oversees all aspects of professional development, including class visit feedback, the formation of non-tenured teachers, and providing learning opportunities for the entire faculty. At Fordham Prep, she has led the design and implementation of initiatives such as Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), a Peer Cohort Program, an Innovation Grant Program and other collaborative opportunities to support faculty growth and engagement.
Claire also continues to share her love of teaching by instructing a section of Precalculus Honors for juniors. Passionate about lifelong learning and the value of personal connections, Claire’s educational philosophy centers on collaboration and an openness to growth, creating an environment where educators and students alike can thrive.
Matthew Roach
Director of Teaching and Learning
The Peddie School
Matthew Roach began serving as the Peddie English Department chair in 2016 and as Peddie’s inaugural Director of Teaching and Learning in 2022.
He is the head coach of the girls varsity soccer team, and teaches Senior English. Matthew is a graduate of Williams College, the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English, and Columbia University Teachers College, and began his career at NBC Sports and the Hotchkiss School.
Hilary Robinson
Associate Head of School
St. Mary’s Episcopal School
Hilary Davis Robinson is the Associate Head of School at St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis, Tennessee, where she oversees the academic and daily life of girls from early childhood through grade 12. A passionate educator and experienced administrator, Hilary has spent over three decades championing student success, faculty growth, and mission-aligned leadership in independent schools.
Throughout her career, Hilary has served in a variety of roles- from classroom teacher to division head- building strong faculty teams, leading curricular innovation, and steering accreditation processes. She currently supervises a team of academic leaders, directs strategic initiatives, and cultivates a professional culture grounded in excellence and care.
Hilary holds a B.A. in French and Elementary Education from Millsaps College and an M.A.T. in Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College. She is pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Tennessee. A dedicated school leader and community advocate, she has served on multiple accreditation teams through SAIS and helps lead schools through the accreditation process. She is also a volunteer for the Memphis LeBonheur Club and serves on the Catholic Diocese School Advisory Board. In 2023, she was named one of the Memphis Business Journal’s “10 Women Who Lead in Education.”
Hilary is honored to join the Board of the Folio Collaborative and looks forward to advancing its mission of reflective practice and professional growth across schools.
Monica Rodriguez
Head of School
The Montessori School of Raleigh & Carolina Preparatory Academy
A native of Los Angeles, Monica has spent 23 years teaching, learning, and leading in independent schools.The beginning of her career was dedicated to teaching Spanish at the early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels at Near North Montessori School, Alain Locke Charter School, and Countryside Day School. She then spent eight years at Morgan Park Academy where she began her tenure there as an Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish teacher, and later moved into the following administrative roles: department chair, assistant upper school principal, director of global studies, director of the academic summer institute, and dean of academics. She later worked as the upper school director at Latin School of Chicago where she oversaw daily operations, curricular scope and sequence, professional development, student wellness, and several other major academic and non-academic initiatives for the upper school.
Monica is formally trained as an elementary teacher for grades 1 to 6 through the Association Montessori International (AMI). She earned her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College. The 2025-2026 school year will be Monica’s sixth year as head of school at The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) and Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep), which is a PK-12 independent, Montessori and International Baccalaureate (IB) World School serving 440 students on two campuses in Raleigh and Durham.
Monica believes deeply in community service and as such, serves as a board member for the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools (NCAIS) and West Suburban Montessori School in Oak Park, IL. In addition to volunteerism, Monica is an avid reader, traveler, lover of music, amateur genealogist, and enjoys the outdoors. She is happily married and has two active, hilarious, and smart little girls.
Rebecca Rowland
Director of Human Resources
Campbell Hall Episcopal
Rebecca Rowland is in her thirteenth year as the Director of Human Resources at Campbell Hall Episcopal in Studio City, California, a K-12, all-gender day school. At Campbell Hall, Rebecca and her team support approximately 325 truly exceptional individuals by providing a concierge level of customer service while also “teaching them to fish” (figuratively, not literally).
In addition to her role at Campbell Hall, Rebecca serves as an executive team board member and the Programs and Professional Development Committee Chair for the California Independent School Business Officers Association (Cal-ISBOA). Rebecca is also a proud mom to Campbell Hall student Silas, Class of 2027. In their spare time, the Rowland family enjoys visiting National Parks and exploring other beautiful places.
Jasper Turner
Assistant Head of School and Dean of Faculty
Millbrook School
A veteran independent school educator, Jasper currently serves as Assistant Head and Dean of Faculty at Millbrook School, where he is responsible for fostering a culture of professional growth and renewal among faculty. Over the course of his career, he has worked in both boarding and day school settings, taught mathematics, economics, and computer science, and supported colleagues in a variety of leadership roles—including director of experiential education, residential life director, and department chair.
Jasper holds a master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BA from Pomona College. He grew up in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and proudly claims the title of 2007 World Four Square Champion.
