The FolioCollaborative is a non-profit, growing community of over 100 independent schools who are working together to enrich the faculty and staff development process. Member schools believe that faculty and staff deserve honest, growth-based conversations every year. While all the FolioCollaborative schools are using the Folio software to manage this growth process, each school is using it in a slightly different way. Some schools have implemented Folio with their entire faculty while other schools are using Folio to support their unique needs. This may include rolling Folio out to only the administrative team, new faculty, or in a peer coaching system.
FolioCollaborative and its member schools understand that conversations are at the heart of growth. Traditionally, schools have not been very good at committing to these conversations every year. This issue is not a software problem. Rather, it represents a process that needs to be developed for each school according to their unique needs. The Folio technology supports this process, it doesn’t drive it. As a member of FolioCollaborative, each school has access to networking opportunities where the schools can gather together to engage in dialogues aimed at how they can develop those skill sets needed to engage in productive, honest, coaching conversations.
